Volunteer Action Plan and Communications
Following our Volunteer Census in October 2025, we are pleased to share an update on the action plan developed in response to the feedback provided by our volunteers. We are committed to keeping volunteers informed of the progress being made against the actions identified and will publish updates on a quarterly basis. These updates will highlight key achievements, ongoing work, and next steps to help ensure transparency and accountability. Alongside the webpage updates, we also provide quarterly updates to our Sport and Volunteer Committee.

Lucy Vizor
Eastern and South East Regions, plus Oxford & Reading Area
Lucy's been with CSSC since January 2019 and is also the Eco Champion for CSSC! This is one of her passions outside of work, along with a love of the outdoors and taking part in anything, sports, gardening or craft related.
Rosa Brownlee
Scotland and North East Regions
Rosa previously worked on the front line at Citizens Advice and the Scottish Refugee Council, where volunteers played a vital role, giving her a strong appreciation of their contribution. She enjoys combining her experience supporting volunteers with her passion for sport and wellbeing. Outside of work, Rosa enjoys swimming in Scottish lochs and playing football with a local community team for women and non-binary people.
David Yuill
South West, Wales and South Regions (with the exception of Oxford & Reading Area)
David has worked in both the education and charity sectors, giving him a strong understanding of the important role volunteers play in supporting organisations and their communities. He is passionate about building relationships and promoting mental health and wellbeing, and is a qualified Mental Health First Aider. Outside of work, David enjoys football, tennis and athletics, and is also a trained singer, singing coach, guitarist and sound engineer.
Helen Tourle
Midlands and Yorkshire Regions
Helen has worked in the voluntary sector for 15 years, leading and managing volunteering programmes for a variety of physical and mental health causes. Helen has worked extensively in volunteer-led charities and is excited to combine this expertise with CSSC’s ethos of being member-led in its activities. Helen lives in the Peak District and outside of work can be found outdoors, usually accompanied by a horse or a dog.

Georgia and Ella support the planning and delivery of our sports programme. Georgia brings a background in education and Sport Management, with strong organisational skills and a passion for creating exciting, accessible sporting opportunities for members. Outside of work, she's an avid runner and gym-goer, enjoys taking on endurance challenges, loves travelling and hiking, and is always keen to discover new places to eat. Alongside Ella, they're here to help make our Tier 1 sports programme the best it can be for members.

Mahir and Kirsten help to develop new activities and grow local sporting opportunities for members. Mahir brings a creative, problem-solving approach and enjoys finding new ways to develop the sports programme, while Kirsten combines a science background with creativity and several years' experience across CSSC's sports and volunteering teams. Together, they work closely with volunteers and partners to create engaging, insight-led opportunities for members. Outside of work, Mahir enjoys football, gaming and cooking, while Kirsten likes swimming, gardening, spending time with friends and trying new activities.

As Partnerships Executive, Lynne works closely with CSSC’s groups and associations, building strong relationships that help create more opportunities and value for our members. Lynne enjoys solving problems, connecting people, and supporting long-term development and positive change across the organisation. Outside of work, Lynne love staying active through walking, cycling and sport, spending time with my ever-growing family, and making the most of her new life by the sea.

Em is your go-to contact for general sports volunteer queries, providing day-to-day support for our volunteer network and helping keep the sports programme running smoothly. Outside of work, you'll often find Em exploring in her campervan, travelling across the UK and Europe for motorsport events, or spending time with her family and two dogs.
