Walking the Malvern Hills, Worcestershire
Walking the Malvern Hills, Worcestershire

Walk along the Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a guide.

This walk is titled "Hidden Paths" as you walk along a wild garlic woodland and visit parts of the hills not normally seen. It is a 5 or so mile walk (8 Km) lasting around 2 hours 30 minutes and although a moderate hill walk, you will experience fairly steep paths in places.

A reasonable level of fitness is needed with an elevation of some 1,000 feet (300 metres) and paths can be muddy and rocky in parts. While every effort has been made to ensure the walk is safe, it is an outdoor event and care must be taken by all members. Exceptionally well behaved dogs are welcome. This is an ideal midweek day out to enjoy the hills in good company and explore the area more.

The guide, Michael Johnson, first took to the hills in the Lake District aged 14 and over the subsequent 52 years has rarely stopped, wherever in the world life has taken him. He's been walking on the Malvern Hills for 40 years and still exploring, slowly subsuming its history and legends.

Please contact Richard Lee-Heung by email should you want to know more about the walk and the area.
