This event consists of a 6 mile walk from the Wedgwood Factory and then two optional additional offerings to make a full day of your time in Wedgwood.
The walk is across varied terrain including pavements, grass verges, small sections of roads, a level crossing, by a canal, woodland area and gravel. There are steps involved in this walk to access the canal towpath. The canal towpath and forest paths are decent compacted earth and rubble/stone pathways.
This is a free event but spaces are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
Optional Activities
1) 1 pm Wedgwood tea rooms - Lunch or tea and cake (Not included, at additional cost on the day)
I will be booking a table to have some refreshments after the walk and you are all welcome to join me. I will need to know rough numbers to reserve a big enough table, so let me know.
You could bring your own picnic and find a suitable place to eat it if you don't want to buy lunch. There is a forest area run by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust near by and there is also Wedgwood lake.
2) V&A Wedgwood collection - Self guided tour
After lunch you can also enjoy the onsite museum and the V&A Wedgwood collection.
The museum is free of charge and open until 5pm and you are welcome to stay as long as you like.
