A 1-day Volunteer Walk Leaders training session for members who are enthusiastic about getting people together and leading group walks in the Wales.
The training session will be delivered by Living Streets, which is 'the UK charity for everyday walking', and will cover the following topics:
Why lead walks?
The role of walk Leaders Before, during and after led walks
Demonstration led walk
Troubleshooting
Route planning
Risk management

Refreshments (tea/coffee/biscuits) throughout the day and a light lunch
The course is free of charge, however, there are some expectations of learners You must agree to become a CSSC Volunteer Walk Leader We expect that you would be willing to organise and lead at least three walks annually. These must be open to CSSC members or a specific workplace and follow CSSC event organisation policy, processes and procedures

The day includes a 45 minute training walk so please ensure you have suitable clothing and footwear
Please arrive for 9.30am for a 10am start
The training is expected to finish around 4pm
