The Sheffield Sharks are a professional basketball team that hail from Sheffield, South Yorkshire. They compete in the British Basketball League (BBL), the top tier of basketball in the UK. They are presently known as the “B. Braun Sheffield Sharks” as B. Braun Medical UK is their current naming right sponsor.
The club has played in many venues throughout their 25 year history – the Sheffield Arena, EIS and Ponds Forge. From the 2023-24 season they moved into a new home at the Canon Medical Arena, situated at the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.
Developed by Canon Medical Systems and operated by PCA Ltd, the Canon Medical Arena is the first carbon-neutral built arena in the UK.
