Are you local to Rye Harbour? Then why not join us for a lunchtime walk to help you get some extra steps in during your day and get some fresh air
This route will involve walking a 3km/2 mile route that covers part way round the saltmarsh, which takes just under an hour. The route includes walking along grassy paths, tracks, and rural footpaths.
We wanted to offer this lunchtime walk to all CSSC members (children and dogs also welcome!). If you fancy joining us for some fresh air and would like to get involved, please book now to avoid disappointment.
This walk is suitable for anyone who does not have a mobility difficulty or a specific health problem that may affect participation. Please let us know if you have any questions about taking part.
Please meet outside the entrance to the free Car Park, by the area just before the gate leading to the visitors centre at 12pm and be ready to start walking at 12.15pm. Look out for your leader who will be wearing a purple CSSC cap!
Why should you go?
Enjoy meeting new friends and sharing experiences of walking in the East Sussex countryside. The pace is set by the slowest team member and respect is given to varying levels of experience and capabilities in the group.
We use a qualified walk leader to guide the walk. If you are interested in finding out more about how to become a qualified walk leader, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
There is a café at the visitors centre towards the end of the walk, so please feel free to grab a drink when we're finished.
What should you bring?
Bottle of water or drink
Snacks or lunch if you plan to eat on route
Please wear suitable footwear for walking appropriate to the weather (welly's/walking boots/walking trainers)
Waterproofs advised
Sun cream, hat and sunglasses may be advised depending on the weather forecast
Notes and Restrictions
The closing date for applications is 10 May or when tickets sell out.
Each CSSC Member may book one CSSC Member priced ticket per unique CSSC membership number, plus up to two child tickets.
