Join us for an unforgettable guided Circular Active Wellbeing walk, beginning at the car park at English Heritage’s Kenilworth Castle.
This is an easy circular walk of around 3 miles taking in the history surrounding Kenilworth Castle, finishing with entry into the site.
Take in the views on the walk of the rolling greenery, whilst delving into the rich history of the town and castle. The castle’s story spans more than nine centuries, with Norman keeps from 1120s. Kenilworth’s greatest period began when Elizabeth’s childhood friend, Robert Dudley, took possession of the castle in 1563. 2025 marks the 450th anniversary of Elizabeth’s most famous visit in July 1575.
Access: Not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
Length of walk: 3 miles
10:00 – Meet in the car park of Kenilworth Castle.
10:15 – Start guided circular walk.
10:45 – Arrive at Kenilworth Castle.
11:00 – Your guided walk finishes at Kenilworth Castle with entry included. Please bring along a packed lunch to enjoy the grounds and Elizabethan Gardens or alternative there is a large café on site.
Headsets are available within Kenilworth Castle, so you can explore the history as you enjoy the site. Walk to the top of the tower, to take in fantastic views over the castle and surrounding countryside. Experience interactive displays and exhibitions to bring Kenilworth’s past to life.
