Established in 1935, the Civil Service Bowling Club (Chatham) is run for the benefit of its members with the aim of enjoying the game of flat green bowls.
During our bowls season from April to September we hold both friendly (men, ladies and mixed teams) and competitive matches against other clubs, both home and away. On Tuesday afternoons and Thursday evenings we have ‘roll-ups’ when club members play friendly games against each other. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided midway through the session, free of charge.
The club also runs various social events during the winter in order to keep its members in touch:
Monthly coffee mornings as well as foodie evenings, when we can enjoy a sit-down meal in the clubhouse organised by one of our members.
Monday night darts competitions.
Indoor bowls league organised for some of our members who wish to play, at Deangate Ridge IBC on Thursday afternoons.
