CSSC’s Purchasing Terms and Conditions

These are the terms and conditions applicable to members of CSSC Ltd (‘Terms’). In these Terms, 'you/r', ‘the member’ refers to the named member (membership cardholder) of CSSC, (or applicant for such status), and 'we' and 'us' refers to Civil Service Sports Council Ltd (‘CSSC’) By purchasing a benefit, voucher, eCode, discount code, member event ticket, gift voucher, you agree to adhere to these Terms. Please note that there are several different benefits/products and conditions apply as set out in these Terms.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and set out the terms under which CSSC makes the benefits/products available to you. By using CSSC you agree to these Terms. Any member not adhering to these Terms & Conditions may have their membership cancelled at CSSC's discretion.

CSSC may, from time to time, review the range of benefits on offer to you and reserves the right to change/alter membership benefits and entry rights. We will communicate these changes to our members in advance via our member communications and on our website.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

You must ensure that the contact details you provide are correct and complete as held on “CSSC”. You must inform us immediately of any changes.

Vouchers/eCodes, discount codes and member event tickets are offered for sale to you for use by you and your immediate family.

You must not sell, trade, or exchange any items you have purchased from CSSC with another party.

You are responsible for ensuring all Vouchers/eCodes, discount codes and member event tickets purchased are used prior to their expiry date. No refunds will be given where goods have expired.

CSSC Ltd. uses postage service operated by the Royal Mail and you should book vouchers in advance of their intended date of use.

A number of eCodes are sent out automatically (Cineworld, Empire, ODEON, Omniplex, Picturehouse, The Arc, The Cinema Pass, The Light, Showcase & Vue) direct to your inbox.

Physical Vouchers for certain benefits are fulfilled the next working day following a confirmed order (Monday – Friday excluding bank holidays). Please see the product listings for more information.

Orders are sent out by Royal Mail Second Class post, unless you choose a different postage option at the checkout.

1. Your Account

If you use the CSSC website services, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your CSSC account and password and for restricting access to your computer or device to prevent unauthorised use of your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You should take all necessary steps to ensure that the password is kept confidential and secure and should inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that your password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner.

CSSC Ltd reserves the right to refuse access to the website, terminate accounts, remove or edit content. CSSC reserves the right to cancel orders at their discretion. If an order is cancelled, it will be without charge to you.

2. Conditions Relating to the Sale of Products to You

When you place an order to purchase from the website, we will send you an email confirming receipt of your order and the details of your order using the email address registered with CSSC. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase which is accepted by us only when we have checked your order and dispatched that item to you. We reserve the right to send your order in multiple batches. Delivery can only be made to the address that you provide to CSSC Ltd, at the basket checkout.

3. Returns

a) Physical vouchers

Goods are not ordinarily refundable or exchangeable. However, this does not affect your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014. You must give notice of cancellation by contacting us via email or in writing within 14 working days of taking receipt of any item. You must return the goods no later than 14 days after the day on which you informed us that you are going to do so. Goods should be returned to 'Freepost CSSC SPORTS & LEISURE'. You will be refunded within 7 working days on receipt of the returned goods.

Please ensure that when the goods are returned, they are in the same condition that they were sent. Please avoid any folding and/or stapling.

b) eCodes

eCodes cannot be refunded or exchanged, unless the eCode is proven to be faulty or you let us know within 14 days from the date of order. A check of the eCode will be carried out by our supplier(s) before they are cancelled. Once cancelled, a refund will be processed to the account from which payment was taken. Refunds can take up to 7 working days. Please note: eCodes which are unused by their expiry date will not be refunded or exchanged.

c) Members’ Events

Members are occasionally entitled to benefits for a number of CSSC Events or Online Discounted Tickets (Day out trips, Sports events, Theatre events etc.). These benefits are subject to change and will vary according to the specific CSSC event.

Members can also book tickets for exclusive Members’ only exclusive events including workshops and members only days. All Members’ events are advertised on our website: www.cssc.co.uk and will also be promoted through our regular comms channels.

We reserve the right to invite non-members to members’ events, at the discretion of the Membership Team and a £5+ VAT non-member event fee will be added for each non-member ticket purchased. Please ensure you review each terms and conditions set out on the event listing for more information per event.

Please note that non-member event fee is non-refundable.

4. Pricing and availability

As we process your order, we will inform you by email if any items are out of stock.

All prices are inclusive of VAT, Royal Mail 2nd class Postage and Packaging & Card Charges unless stated otherwise. Additional postage options are available at the checkout.

Some goods have a maximum purchase order limit per month or per annum. The online service will automatically limit or remove your ability to purchase further goods which exceed these volumes.

Please note that some vouchers/eCodes, and member events tickets may incur an additional booking fee at the suppliers discretion, these will be set out within the benefit/product listing.

5. Losses

Items will be dispatched by Royal Mail. If you have not received your order with 10 working days, please contact us by emailing headoffice@cssc.co.uk. Claims will then be investigated and determined by CSSC within 28 days.

CSSC will not be responsible for any loss or potential losses incurred through anticipated savings, data, goodwill or wasted expenditure or any other indirect or consequential loss that is not reasonably foreseeable by both you and us when you commenced using the website or when a contract for the sale of goods is formed.

CSSC endeavours to provide the best possible savings for members and all voucher/eCodes are sold in good faith. However, CSSC Ltd cannot guarantee that's its prices are the lowest available at the point of sale.

7. Access to the website

We will do our utmost to ensure that availability of the website will be uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free, however continuity of service cannot be guaranteed. Also, your access to the website may also be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for updates, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services. We will endeavour to limit the frequency and duration of any such suspension or restriction.

8. License for website access

CSSC grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this website, but not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with our express written consent. This license does not include any resale or commercial use of this website or its contents; any collection and use of any product listings, descriptions, or prices; any derivative use of this website or its contents; any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another merchant; or any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.

This website or any portion of this website may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, visited, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.

You may not frame or use framing techniques to enclose any trademark, logo, or other proprietary information (including images, text, page layout, or form).-. You may not use any tags or any other "hidden text" utilising the CSSC website or CSSC Ltd or trademarks. Any unauthorised use will result in termination of the permission or license granted by CSSC.

You are granted a limited, revocable, and non-exclusive right to create a hyperlink to the home page of the CSSC website as long as the link does not portray CSSC Ltd, or their products or services in a false, misleading, derogatory, or otherwise offensive matter. You may not use any CSSC logo or other proprietary graphic or trademark as part of the link without our express written consent.

9. Your conduct

You must not use the website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the website or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way.

You understand that you, and not CSSC Ltd, are responsible for all electronic communications and content sent from your computer or device to us and you must use the website for lawful purposes only.

You must not use the website for any of the following:

For fraudulent purposes, or in connection with a criminal offence or other unlawful activity to send, use or reuse any material that is illegal, offensive, abusive, indecent, defamatory, obscene or menacing; or in breach of copyright, trademark, confidence, privacy or any other right; or is otherwise injurious to third parties; or objectionable; or which consists of or contains software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings or any "spam" to cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety.

10. Alteration of Service or Amendments to the Terms & Conditions

We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, service providers and these Terms & Conditions at any time and without notice. You will be subject to the policies and Terms & Conditions in force at the time that you used the website and ordered items from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you). If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.

11. Events beyond our reasonable control

We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause which is beyond our reasonable control.

12. Waiver

If you breach these conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions.
