Recently, a group of CSSC members had the opportunity to attend a hands-on cooking class at Vaughan's Kitchen & Cookery School, where they learned the art of making authentic Spanish tapas.
The day kicked off with a warm welcome over tea and coffee, followed by an introduction to the class. Soon after, everyone rolled up their sleeves and got to work on their culinary creations.

Members got stuck into making a flatbread, though one enthusiastic member might have got a bit too stuck in - their dough ended up a little too wet! While the flatbreads baked in the oven, we moved on to preparing patatas bravas, a classic Spanish dish of crispy potatoes topped with a rich and flavourful tomato sauce.
Next, we pan-fried chorizo in a mouth-watering red wine sauce, followed by toasting almonds and sautéing spinach to top our flatbreads. To complete the spread, we whipped up a fresh, garlicky aioli dip.
After a couple of hours of cooking, it was time to sit down together and enjoy our delicious dishes with a glass of wine in hand.

Overall, it was an incredible day filled with fun, food, and a few exclusive tips from the experts at Vaughan's Kitchen. Everyone left with new culinary skills and some tasty recipes to try at home.
A big thank you to Vaughan's Kitchen for providing this incredible opportunity.
