National Trust for Scotland Terms & Conditions 

  1. Each pass is valid for once per visit and admits either one individual (individual pass) or two adults and up to four children (family pass) to any NTS property.
  2. Passes have an expiry date of 12 months or less, so please check this on your booking confirmation
  3. This National Trust for Scotland day pass is for admission only.
  4. This National Trust for Scotland pass does not include parking at National Trust for Scotland places.
  5. This National Trust for Scotland day pass is a single-use pass and may only be used once.
  6. This National Trust for Scotland day pass allows one individual/ two adults and up to four children entry to any National Trust for Scotland property.
  7. Adults are those aged over 18; children are those aged 5–17 inclusive; under 5s receive free admission at National Trust properties.
  8. The validity of the pass will be twelve months from the date the pass is received.
  9. This National Trust for Scotland day pass is valid 7 days a week at National Trust for Scotland properties within advertised opening hours, excluding special event days. These may be subject to change at any time. Please check National Trust for Scotland (nts.org.uk) to plan your visit.
  10. This National Trust for Scotland day pass cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and has no cash value. It cannot be redeemed against the cost of National Trust for Scotland membership.
  11. This National Trust for Scotland day pass is not for resale and is non-transferable. ID may be requested to verify that the visitor(s) corresponds to the name featured on the pass/confirmation (where applicable). If the National Trust for Scotland deems this to have occurred, we reserve the right to refuse use of the pass and the full admission price may be charged.
  12. This National Trust for Scotland day pass does not grant entry to ticketed events taking place at National Trust for Scotland properties on the day of visitation.
  13. This National Trust for Scotland day pass does not allow admission to places with reciprocal entry agreements, such as National Trust England and Wales.
  14. Some National Trust for Scotland properties require booking in advance of the visit date. Please check the property’s website prior to visiting to check whether this is the case and to book tickets. At these properties, without a booking we cannot guarantee entry. To book where required:
    • Visit the property’s page on the National Trust for Scotland (nts.org.uk), click ‘’Planning Your Visit’ to find out whether booking required or advised.
    • If booking required or advised, click on ‘Book Visit’ and select the free Trust Member option.
    • Complete the transaction and you will receive a confirmation email. If you only select the free members tickets, you will not need to enter your debit/credit card details and you will not be charged.
    • Bring along both your booking confirmation and the pass. Present these to the National Trust for Scotland team member on arrival. Without both the booking confirmation and the free day pass we cannot guarantee entry, and without the free day pass you will not receive free entry and will be charged the full admission price.
