Travel in style with the Murder Mystery Dining Experience

The year is 1953. Signalman Harry Godfrey has been found dead in his Signal box at Tenterden — and the killer may be sitting just a few carriages away. DCI Thomas needs your help to untangle the web of lies and secrets before the murderer escapes down the line. As the train steams through the Kent and East Sussex countryside, you and your fellow passengers will study evidence, question the suspects, and piece together the truth. Is it greed, jealousy, blackmail, or betrayal that drove someone to murder? DCI Thomas will set the scene for the evening as you arrive at the station from 6pm, and the train of intrigue will depart Tenterden Station at 7 o'clock sharp! At journey’s end, you’ll cast your verdict. Will you uncover the real culprit… or let the killer walk free? The train arrives back in Tenterden at approximately 9.45pm

There's a glass of Prosecco or fruit juice to set the scene from 6.15pm, then board the train for a delicious two-course meal of locally produced 'Korkers' pork sausages (or vegetarian equivalent) & fluffy mash with rich onion gravy, rounded off with a hearty apple crumble and custard - all cooked onboard the train and served to you at your seat! Tea or coffee is included, whilst a drinks trolley service offering soft and alcoholic beverages to purchase will also be available.

The Kent & East Sussex Railway is a renowned heritage railway based in Tenterden, Kent, UK. Built by Holman F Stephens, it was the first light passenger railway in Britain in the early 20th century and is today one of Britain’s most loved and original heritage lines which will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of reopening in 2024. With a rich history spanning over 120 years, the K&ESR offers visitors an authentic steam and diesel-powered railway experience through 10½ miles of Wealden countryside in the beautiful Rother Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Staffed almost entirely by volunteers, the railway prides itself on preserving railway heritage, operating a diverse range of locomotives, and providing a unique glimpse into the golden age of rail travel.
