30 DAYS OF MOTIVATION WITH CSSC
Motive-8 September
For many, the darker, cooler evenings of September can feel like a challenging month, making it much less enjoyable to exercise, adding extra stress and anxiety to our already full lives.
Join colleagues and CSSC members from across the civil service and public sector for the month of September, Motive-8 September will provide the tools, tips, resources and opportunities to stay active, relax, and spend time on your wellbeing, with a fun and engaging teamwork challenge.
What is the Motive-8 September challenge?
CSSC’s eight day, Around-the-UK, motivational challenge, kicking off on Thursday 21 September and finishing on Friday 29 September.
Travel through Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales, visiting all the amazing places CSSC has to offer. Whether you walk, run, swim, stroll, bounce or dance from location to location, you can win free prizes and giveaways at every stop!
8 Day Around-the-UK Challenge – 21 to 29 September
Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to virtually navigate around the UK for eight days, visiting twelve CSSC milestones along the way, which could be key historic, cultural and places of interest, along with ideas for fun days out by using whatever types of movement or activity you enjoy.
Whether running, walking, swimming, cycling, skipping, yoga, housework or gardening, log your active time.
⭐ You can create a team and invite up to 10 people to join.
Whether you're joining on your own, or getting your colleagues and friends involved, we will all work together to complete the challenge as one big team.
As the 8-day Around-the-UK has now begun, sign ups are now closed.

And why Motive-8?
In a typical day we spend 8 hours sleeping and 8 hours working, which leaves only 8 hours a day just for you. By sharing our partners, offers and inspiration with you over the next 8 days, we’ll provide loads of useful ideas and tools to help maximise that precious ‘me’ time.
Healthy habits can take time to form, so Motive-8 September is a week full of events, classes and challenges to help you stay active and engaged. The eighth day will remind you to keep going the next week and the week after that until your new routine is habitual.
