Longleat is the perfect day for all of the family! With over 100 different species of animal, which live within the Safari Park and other animal areas, you’re also spoilt with the beautiful landscape of “Capability Brown”, Longleat House and a variety of immersive attractions and experiences.

Home to the Marquesses of Bath since the 1600s, Longleat has been welcoming visitors for over 400 years. The Wiltshire estate was the first to open its doors to the public back in 1949 and re-defined the world of tourism in 1966 when it launched the only drive-through safari park outside of Africa.

In 2024, Longleat had a fantastic range of seasonal events including Icons of the Sky and The Festival of Light. 

Optional extras to enhance your visit include Tours of Longleat House, Safari Bus Tours and feeding activities. 

Free parking is available to all visitors, and there are plenty of cafes and shops for you to treat yourselves!

International Zookeeper Day

This International Zookeeper Day, we’re honouring the dedication of animal teams around the world with the International Congress of Zookeepers and inviting you to celebrate with us at Longleat. On Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October 2025 only, kids go FREE* with every full paying adult. From roaring lions and curious monkeys, to playful meerkats and majestic giraffes, it’s the perfect chance to create unforgettable family memories, for less.

Join us this May half term as one of Britain’s best-loved and most intrepid naturalists and TV presenters returns to Longleat with an exclusive live animal show: this time, bigger and bolder than ever.

ICONS of The Sky, 12 – 14 September 2025

Icons of the Sky is back and taking flight between 12 - 14 September 2025.

This year's three-day aviation extravaganza will feature a unique aerial ballet by the Sydney Charles Display Team and Oggy the Friendly Dragon will be making his debut UK appearance in 2025; this 150 feet tall hot air balloon will be at Longleat for one of only three appearances in Britain. As well as Oggy, others will be making their debut such as a huge football, Funny Bunny coming from Belgium, Tropsy, a baby dino and many others. Begin each day with a stunning mass hot air balloon ascent* and spot your favourite shapes. From Tropsy to Oggy, macaws to snakes, watch all kinds of animals and objects come to life in the skies. Create unforgettable memories as the morning light accentuates the kaleidoscope of colours and don’t miss out on those picture-perfect moments.

 

The Festival of Light, 8 November 2025 – 11 January 2026

The Festival of Light presents, British Icons with Wallace & Gromit and friends!

Meet fan-favourite characters from Shaun the Sheep, Wallace & Gromit and more classic Aardman icons while you journey through their most-loved adventures as well as some of the UK’s most famous landmarks, native wildlife and sights, all spectacularly reimagined in lantern form. Visit a breath-taking 15m tall Tower Bridge and China Town in London, travel through Stonehenge, head to Blackpool to enjoy traditional seaside attractions, marvel at the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland, the Welsh Dragon, the Glenfinnan Viaduct in Scotland and so much more. We will also be marking the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth as we focus on writers and celebrating iconic singers from through the decades as well as other surprises along the way.
