New Event for 2027 – A Fresh Twist on Social Golf! ⛳
Join us at Wyboston Lake Resort for an exciting new event that combines great golf, friendly competition, and a fantastic social atmosphere. Featuring a two-day pairs format, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy two enjoyable rounds of golf whilst meeting new people and experiencing everything the resort has to offer.
🤝 Players can enter with a partner or register individually. Individual entrants will be paired together where possible, making this a welcoming event for everyone. Pairs can be made up in any combination – two ladies, two men, or a mixed pair. For the ticket questions, please put N/A if you do not know your partner and/or who you'll share a room with.
📊 Handicap Information: A level of trust will be applied for all players. Where a player does not hold an official handicap, their current playing ability will be used as a guide. Unofficial handicaps will be capped at 28, whilst official handicaps (England Golf, iGolf, Golfshake, etc.) will be accepted without restriction.
🌅 The experience extends beyond the fairways. Unwind on the stunning lakeside decking area overlooking the fishing lake, the ideal spot to relax with fellow competitors after your round. With excellent on-site leisure facilities and a vibrant social setting, Wyboston Lake Resort provides the perfect backdrop for a memorable golfing getaway.

The competition will be played using the Stableford scoring system across two different formats:
Day 1 – Better Ball Stableford
Each player plays their own ball throughout the round
On each hole, the best Stableford score from the pair counts as the team's score
Day 2 – Texas Scramble Stableford
Both players tee off
The pair selects the best tee shot, and both players then play their next shot from that position
This process continues until the ball is holed
The resulting Stableford score is recorded for the team on each hole
What is included?
There will be two rounds of golf played on Golf Course in Bedfordshire | Wyboston Lakes Resort
Play will commence around 12.30pm on Sunday 15th August and around 10am on Monday 16th August.
Overnight accommodation based on 2 sharing (twin or double rooms – Sunday evening only)
A three course evening meal and breakfast are also included in the price
Guests also access to the on-site spa, which includes a swimming pool and wellness facilities. For those looking for some friendly competition in the evening, The Kitchen offers a wide range of complimentary games and activities, including pool, table tennis, shuffleboard, darts, and much more!
Price
The price is £118 per person - in a shared twin room (this event is only open to CSSC Members)
If you are booking two tickets, please ensure you have your playing partner’s CSSC membership details ready, as these will be required when registering them for the event
Travel Support Fund
You may be eligible for financial support from the CSSC Travel Support, supported by the CSSC Community Lottery, for this event.
The Travel Support aims to reduce financial barriers and help members take part in sports and physical activity. Priority will be given to those who need it most, particularly individuals who may otherwise be unable to attend CSSC organised events due to travel costs.
