Join us on our trip to explore the German Christmas Markets in Cologne and Aachen.
Enjoy a 3 night bed and breakfast stay in the Maritim Hotel Cologne which is located near to the City Cathedral from 6th to 9th December 2026.
Please note that pickup points and timings will be determined and provided nearer the time of the trip.
Format of the trip
Sunday
We will leave Gosport early on Sunday morning and head for Dover to catch the ferry to Calais with stops for pickup of passengers en route where required. We should arrive at our hotel by early evening and you will then be free to venture out or retire for the evening. Our hotel is the Maritim Hotel in Cologne and we will stay for three nights and have Bed and Breakfast. Each room will have en-suite bathroom and free wifi, hairdryer, flat screen TV, safe, mini bar/mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and air conditioning.
Monday
After breakfast on Monday morning we will have a coach transfer to Aachen where we will spend our time visiting the Christmas Markets and shops within the town. There will also be the opportunity to visit the Lindt factory outlet which is located next tot he car park where the coach will be parked. At about 16.00 hrs we will return to the hotel where you will be free to venture out or retire for the evening.
Tuesday
After breakfast on Tuesday morning we will have a free day in Cologne so you will be able to go out and spend the day exploring the lovely city and it's Christmas Markets at your own pace and time.
Wednesday
We will have an early departure on Wednesday morning to return to Calais to catch the return ferry to Dover. Time permitting we will make a stop at a wine warehouse to stock up with wine for the festive period. We will be able to have a free late lunch on the ferry and after leaving the ferry we will then make our way home with stops enroute for comfort. The trip back will include drop offs at the same places where pickups were made ending in Gosport.
