Join us for an exclusive CSSC volunteering day at Edinburgh Zoo!
The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) is a wildlife conservation charity with a bold vision: a world where nature is protected, valued and loved.
Volunteers programmes with RZSS play a huge role in helping to connect people with nature and protect threatened species in Scotland and around the world.
Volunteering activities may include painting, landscaping, and cleaning enclosures.Your day of volunteering will end with an animal meet and greet where you will have the opportunity to meet some of the friendly residents of the zoo and learn all about how they are cared for.
Please arrive at the Edinburgh Zoo members gate for 10am.
The members gate is at the top of the zoo car park. The team will meet you there to greet you and run through key information for the day and general health and safety.
The day will end around 4pm.
Please note:
- Available to CSSC members only
- Volunteering activities are subject to change due to the weather. Please come prepared in outdoor clothes suitable for the weather and temperature, and sturdy outdoor footwear that you don't mind getting wet, muddy or paint splattered.
- There will be opportunities to stop for breaks and a dedicated hour for lunch to rest. Please bring your own lunch or there are cafes and restaurants onsite. Please bring a bottle of water with you to stay hydrated throughout the day.
- A member of staff will show you where you can store your belongings.
- On arrival to the car park, there is a barrier that will produce a ticket, please retain this ticket and a member of the RZSS events team will validate it for you on arrival at no cost.
