The Darlington Civil Service Golf Association (DCSGA) is pleased to announce our membership is open again for the 2026 season.
Existing members do not need to purchase tickets as their existing membership will be carried forward to 2026.
We always welcome new members so please get in touch if you're thinking about joining but would like more information. The members who play cover a wide range of handicaps so do not worry if you have just taken the game up we will put you in groups of a similar standard.
Annual membership costs
The Association is free to join.

Days Out
The DCSGA runs nine golf outings during the year from March to November at different courses around the Darlington area. The courses are normally within one hour of Darlington. Courses played during 2025 included Richmond, Heworth, Chester Le Street and Sharpley. Outings already booked for 2026 are Bedale, Knaresborough and Romanby. The outings are mostly 18 holes of golf - generally individual Stableford scoring - with options of food.
The format for the outings is typically:
Arrive for bacon sandwich/ coffee or tea before golf
Tee off at around 1pm for 18 hole individual Stableford competition
Dinner (generally one course meal)
Participants have the option to take the full package available or play golf and selected meals.
Competitions
At each outing there are ball prizes for winners. All participants (CSSC members and guests) are eligible to win these prizes. There are also competitions held throughout the year which can only be won by DCSGA members. These include an optional singles knockout competition, best three Stableford scores, and various trophies to be won at the outings.
Handicaps
The society is committed to ensuring fair and competitive events, and we welcome golfers of all standards. To qualify for prizes on days out, or to enter the matches or knockout competitions, members should preferably have a valid WHS handicap. If attendees do not have a WHS handicap (as may be the case if they are just taking up the game) the organisers will agree what handicap they will play off.
How to Join
Membership is open to all CSSC members.
There is no cost for Annual Membership and you can join by purchasing the free ticket.
