Chatham and Maidstone Area has secured coach travel and 44 of the best lower gallery tickets to a matinee performance of “As You Like it” at the iconic Globe Theatre along the South Bank in London on Sunday, 27 September:

Run wild and free in the muddy magic of the woods this summer with this euphoric new production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It in the Globe Theatre.When the Duke’s court proves cold and cruel, Rosalind, Celia, and their friends escape into the Forest of Arden – a place alive with joy, music, and unexpected possibilities.

Co‑directed by Sean Holmes (Romeo and Juliet, Pinocchio, Globe) and Charlie Josephine (Pinocchio, Globe, Cowbois, RSC/Royal Court), this bold new As You Like It pulses with lust, revelry, and live music. Join the party as the Globe stage becomes a forest festival of self‑discovery, where closed hearts open and love is limitless.

Coach Pick-up point

  • 9.30am - Everlast Gym carpark (previously ROKO), Gillingham Business Park ME8 6BY - Ample free parking

Format of the day 

  • Departure from Gillingham Business Park at 9.30am, aiming to get to the coach setting down point on Southwark Bridge between 11.00 and 11.30am; Southwark Bridge is a five minute walk from Shakespeare’s Globe, with a step-free route available. 

  • There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area and there should be time for a drink and/or light lunch before the performance.

  • Performance starts at 1.00pm.The running time of the performance is yet to be confirmed but the play usually lasts for about 2.5 - 3 hours;

  • There will be time for a meal in one of the many near-by restaurants before catching the coach home at 6.30pm.

Notes and restrictions

  • Tickets for the show will be on sale until Friday 14th of August 2026, or until sold out.

  • Tickets will be distributed on the coach.

  • Each CSSC member may purchase one CSSC priced ticket per unique CSSC membership number plus up to 3 non-member priced tickets for guests.

  • All under 16yrs must be accompanied by an adult, and cannot be sat separately.

  • Although there are no lifts at the Globe our tickets are on the lower gallery so there are only a couple of stairs to negotiate in the theatre.

  • The seats are wooden benches and you can either take your own cushion or hire one from the Globe at a cost of £3; please get to the theatre in plenty of time if you want to hire a cushion.
