How does CSSC savings work?
There are different ways you can save money with CSSC savings. Instant vouchers, online discounts, and reloadable gift cards. Savings can either be taken off direct purchases at the point of purchase, or you can accumulate cashback in a savings pot to redeem or transfer into your bank account at a later date.
It’s extremely simple and easy to save on the go and the savings really add up quickly.
How to earn, save and spend cashback
When ordering vouchers or gift cards through CSSC savings, you pay the full value but earn a percentage back, which gets instantly added to your cashback balance. For example.
If you order a £100 instant voucher at Tesco supermarket, you pay £100 from a designated bank card. You will earn 3% cashback, so £3 will be paid into your cashback account. This cashback balance will be held securely for you to top up and add to, every time you earn cashback.
Once you’ve earned over £10 in cashback you are free to use it to either top up a reloadable card, pay for a purchase through CSSC savings, or you can transfer the amount to a designated bank account.
You can elect to retain and grow your cashback balance in your account for up to 12 months, where many members, like me, save it until they have a large purchase or a special occasion, like their Christmas shop.
As the name suggests, instant vouchers can be ordered and spent immediately on the go, on your phone, through the CSSC savings mobile app, often while standing in the checkout instore or while shopping online.

If you’re a frequent user you can save your bank cards to the app, so you can simply purchase instant vouchers, safely and securely. Or you can make single purchases whenever you need to, by typing in your details as and when.
When you purchase an instant voucher, the digital voucher appears in your CSSC savings portal and you get sent an email with the voucher attached. It’s a great way to make purchases if
you’ve forgotten your bank cards, so all you need is your phone to scan the instant voucher at the checkout.
Instant money-off discounts
There are also many instant discounts available through CSSC savings that allow you to get money off products and services online.
With these types of offers, you either have access to an online discount code that you apply at the checkout, or you click ‘Use this offer’ to be taken to the retailer’s website where the discount has already been applied.
These offers are convenient, really easy to use and handy for when you’re shopping online and looking for a great deal. Simply search for a retailer or head to the ‘Online Discounts’ category to explore what’s available. Alternatively, if you’re looking to make a purchase, but wish to scour multiple retailers, you can simply type the name of the product you’re looking for into the search bar and all the relevant retailers will pop up. For example.
If you’re looking to buy a sofa, simply type ‘sofa’ or ‘seating’ into the search bar to see all the retailers, from Argos to Wayfair. It works with other key words and phrases, like ‘holiday’ ‘Jewellers’ ‘Games’ and hundreds more.
The great thing about these instant money-off savings, is you can compare to the retailer’s prices and the best deals online, to make sure you’re getting a good deal.
Who can you save with?
CSSC savings offers thousands of the most popular and important online and high street retailers. And more are being added all the time.
You can either search for a specific retailer, or you can explore the categories from Baby & nursery to Utilities & services. Some retailers obviously fall into multiple categories, so the best advice is to search for specific stores and add them to your favourites by clicking on the ‘heart’ icon.
Our most popular retailers, by far, are the supermarkets. Everybody has to eat, right? And this is where the cashback can really add up. Wherever you prefer to shop, CSSC savings can help to lower your food bills. As well as the big five supermarkets of Asda, Morrisons, M&S, Sainsbury’s & Tesco, you can also save at McColl’s, farm foods, Iceland and others.
Take an average weekly shop in one of Britain’s most popular supermarket. By spending £100 a week at ASDA, Morrisons or Tesco, which all offer 3% cashback, you could save over £150 a year. Which would give you a free week’s shop, perhaps when you need it most for a special occasion. You could save even more at M&S, Sainsbury’s, Iceland or the Food Warehouse.
The savings can really add up
I appreciate it’s really easy to showcase some of the best savings and highlight these as a reason to explore CSSC savings. But we’re all different. We all spend, save and purchase differently.
