Last week, some friends and I visited the beautiful, wooded area, Black Park, near Pinewood studios in Buckinghamshire. It was my first time visiting this remarkable outdoor adventure venue, and with several activities to choose from, I chose to take part in the Segway activity. The weather was perfect, with clear skies and warm sunshine, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Navigating through the scenic trails of Black Park on a Segway was exhilarating. The lush greenery and serene environment provided a beautiful backdrop as we glided through the forest. The Segways were easy to control, allowing us to effortlessly explore the park's natural beauty, much quicker than we might have been able to on foot.
Having never set foot on a Segway, it was nothing short of exhilarating. From the moment I stepped on, I felt a rush of excitement. After a brief but thorough safety briefing and practice session, we set off on our adventure.
Gliding through the park's scenic trails was a unique and thrilling experience. The Segways were surprisingly intuitive to control, responding smoothly to slight shifts in body weight. As we navigated through the forest, the cool breeze and dappled sunlight added to the sense of freedom and adventure.
The trails varied, with gentle slopes and winding paths that kept the ride exciting and dynamic. At times, we picked up speed, feeling the thrill of acceleration, while at other moments, we slowed down to take in the stunning natural beauty around us. The combination of the Segway's agility and the picturesque surroundings made for an unforgettable journey. We stopped around the park on a few occasions were the instructors gave us a brief overview and some of the other things the park has been used for filming Harry Potter, Deadpool, Avengers and Stardust to name a few.
It was a fabulous day filled with adventure and camaraderie. With the quiet, electric motors of our transportation, allowing us to chat with each other, without having to compete against noisy engines. The combination of the stunning setting, the thrill of the Segway ride, and the great company made for an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Go Ape in Black Park for anyone looking for a fun and engaging outdoor activity. Another group of friends took on the Go Ape high ropes course, and I’m led to believe this too was a great activity, packed with fun and adventure. Perhaps next time I’ll do the high ropes and famous zip lines.
